“You are the apple of my eye”

As part of an Applied Typography class, the goal was to create a common phrase inferring food with the actual food type mentioned. My assigned phrase was “You are the apple of myeye” made of actual granny smith apples. The apple flesh was used as the base/bottom layer, and the green apple skin as the top.

The concept was the form all the words and letters into a heart shape also using apple seeds to emphasize the parameter. The excess apple skin and seeds were used as decoration for the four corners of the poster as help add an extra mood to piece and an indication as to how it was created.
