Gone Girl
(Back/Spine/Book Cover)
The plot of the book involves a married couple of which the husband is having an affair. Little does he know that his wife has always been a psychotic intellectual who devises a plan to frame her husband for her murder.
As the twisted plot of the wife unwinds and deliberate clues start pointing in the direction of husband as being the prime suspect, the entire town and soon the country turns on him. The illustration on the cover symbolizes just that as the spotlight of scrutiny blares down on the husband.
There is only a 2-color scheme applied here, that of black and red. This is to capture the darkness of the story and blood which is shed through framing and murder engulfed in the plot.
